What You'll Learn

MENTORSHIP Overview

Build AAA-quality game environments with personalised 1-on-1 environment art mentorship from Principal Environment Artist Ben Keeling, specialising in hard-surface, richly detailed environments, modular workflows and materials.

Learn the workflows, decision-making and problem-solving approaches used in professional AAA environment production. Ben will help you take your work further across hard-surface and organic asset creation, materials, set dressing, level layout, modular environments, storytelling and portfolio presentation. Through live demonstrations, paintovers, project reviews and detailed critique, you’ll get direct, practical feedback designed to identify weaknesses, refine your process and raise the quality of your work.

By the end of the mentorship, you’ll have a stronger understanding of how professional environment artists approach quality, composition, detail and technical execution. You’ll leave with actionable feedback, stronger problem-solving skills, a clear plan for improving your portfolio and taking your artistic development to the next level.

Please note: Mentorship start dates are guidelines – the exact date will be determined by your Mentor in the month listed. Each session will be scheduled to best accommodate both mentors and mentees.
