With the guidance of Senior Technical Artist and Unreal Engine educator Victoria Lyons, you’ll receive personalized support to help you progress in your career. Each session is shaped around your current situation and future plans. She’ll help improve your CV, review your portfolio by providing in-depth feedback, and coach you through job applications and interviews.
Drawing on her experience across games and film, from indie productions to large studio projects, Victoria offers practical, industry-informed advice. Whether you’re exploring different roles or deciding between freelance and studio work, she’ll help you develop a clear plan that feels achievable.

Victoria is a technical artist with an extensive background in games, film, and mixed reality. Her experience spans from indie projects to large-scale productions, including the cozy multiplayer game Palia and the television series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As technical artist, former gameplay programmer, and former fine arts instructor, she specializes in helping others explore both the artistic and technical portions of development. She has also designed curriculum for multiple Unreal Engine university courses and especially enjoys helping artists jump into blueprints, shaders, optimization, 3D mathematics, and code.

Senior Level Designer Jack Burrows will guide you one-on-one through building comprehensive game systems and level frameworks for your personal projects, giving you the guidance and insights to overcome these challenges.
Strengthening your game environment art skills will help you tell visual stories that draw players in and create immersive, engaging game worlds. In this mentorship with Naughty Dog’s Senior Environment Artist Sarah Swenson, you will learn not only the how of environment art, but also understand the why—why a composition draws the eye, why modular workflows matter, and why strong storytelling makes a world memorable.
