GENERAL

  • What is a Course?

Courses focus on a specific topic chosen by the instructor. Each one offers in-depth pre-record lessons with weekly feedback and discussions with your instructor, course demos, and live Q&A sessions designed to build your skills in a structured and engaging way.

  • What is a Mentorship?

Mentorships are fully personalized with no fixed curriculum. Before starting, you’ll complete a short form to share your goals, challenges, and areas of interest. Your mentor will use this to create a custom plan that fits your learning objective.

  • Are there any prerequisites to taking a course or mentorship?

You should know the basics of 3D art creation before enrolling. The majority of our courses and mentorships are targeted to advanced juniors and intermediate artists. Please reach out to our team if you are unsure if you are at the appropriate level to take one of our courses.

  • Do you provide software licenses?

Students are expected to have their own software licenses. We recommend looking into student, freelance, or trial versions of the licenses or open source software.

  • What happens after I’ve completed a course?

Upon successfully completing a course, you will receive a certificate of completion from Sierra Division Academy.

  • Will I retain access to lessons and recordings of my course/mentorship after completion?

Recordings and lessons will not be provided after completion; however, you will retain your notes and access to the Discord channel.

  • I am a senior artist and would like to be an instructor.

We will be looking to add instructors for our fall and winter sessions. Please contact our team with your portfolio and proposed course topic.

  • What happens if I miss a week of lessons or mentorship sessions?

Courses: Lessons are pre-recorded, allowing you to watch them at your convenience.
Live Q&A sessions cannot be rescheduled.

Mentorships: If you cannot attend a session, please contact your mentor to reschedule.
All sessions must be completed within 90 days of the start date.

ENROLLMENT

  • How do I enroll in a course or mentorship?

The application process for admission to a university typically involves three main steps. First, aspiring students need to research the university's admission requirements and deadlines, ensuring they meet the academic criteria and gather all necessary documents. Second, they must complete the application form, providing personal information, academic records, and any additional materials, such as recommendation letters or essays.

  • Can I enroll in multiple courses and mentorships?

Yes! There’s no limit to how many courses and mentorships you can enroll in. Make sure you have enough time and capacity to handle the work load

  • Where are you based, and will I need a visa?

We are a fully remote online academy, allowing students from around the world to learn with us.

PAYMENT + REFUNDS

  • What types of payments do you accept?

We accept credit card payments through Stripe.

  • When is payment due for my course or mentorship?

Full payment is due upon enrollment in a course or mentorship.

  • I am no longer available. Can I get a refund?

Sierra Division Academy does not typically offer refunds. However, in exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of SDA staff, a refund may be granted. If a refund is approved, the request must be submitted no later than six (6) days before the course or mentorship begins. All refunds are subject to a 15% administrative fee. No refunds will be granted after the start date or once access to course or mentorship content has been initiated, whichever occurs first.
